Releases on Mi Casa Records:

When the Music Plays

In today’s pop music world where synthetic vocals are the norm, the voice of Toronto-born Naya Marie, is truly an angelic blast of fresh air. How such vast, unbridled soul and melodic passion can be exuded from such a wonderfully petite, albeit beautiful frame is anyone’s guess. Ask anyone who knows Naya Marie, however, and they’ll tell you that the future Pop juggernaut has been a budding superstar since she was cutting her teeth acting and singing in musical theatre shows as a teenager and by helping to choreograph a variety of step dance shows throughout her university tenure.

And while Naya Marie may be equal parts songwriter, dancer and vocalist, she possesses a thirst for knowledge and worldly experience that only the truly daring would attempt. Naya Marie has successfully followed her adventurous side on a journey that had her travel the world throughout most of the last decade, backpacking in such nations as Sri Lanka, Thailand, Fiji, Burma, India, Philippines and Nepal and inevitably residing in Australia for the better part of a three year period.

Feisty and passionate, Naya Marie has now transferred her thrill-seeking nature to a devotion to her artistry. Not to be outdone or intimidated by any other songstress in the game, Naya Marie has become an official YouTube champion. Released last year (on the star-making website known for giving fellow Canadian Justin Bieber his big break), Naya’s Lady Gaga Medley is an absolute explosion of talent.

Creating a five-piece a capella band consisting of only herself, Naya Marie showcases her skills as a singer, a top-notch harmonizer and of all things, a beatboxer! To date, the incredible video is north of two million views and counting. “Amazing”, “brilliant”, and “wonderful” are just a few of the adjectives that online fans used to describe the video in their posted comments. Said one fan: “You are a million times better than Lady Gaga!”

Naya Marie‘s ability to outshine her inspirations appears to be a growing trend, even if the pop sensation insists that it is not her aim. Her impressive covers of songs like the Katy Perry hit “California Gurls” – a duet with fellow Toronto vocalist, Shannon Alvares – has already received commercial radio rotation spots throughout Canada.

In the summer of 2010, Naya Marie‘s newest banger “My Heart”, a remix of the Wayne Marshall original, also found its way to radio waves sparking a firestorm of love for R&B’s next major breakout star. Marshall himself, has commented on Naya’s prowess as a vocalist while the internet continues to be wildly abuzz with praise for her growing number of videos and singles including her debut “A Million Soldiers”.

At present, the world awaits the official launch of, which will coincide with her debut full-length project.  Featuring production by such notable soundscape artists as De laVega, Kittygroove, Arthur McArthur, The Boy Wonder (Mi Casa Records) and Jester Jones, Naya Marie‘s first album is already generating worldwide intrigue.  The future of Pop is already here.
