Releases on Mi Casa Records:
All My Love
The resurgence, of soul music is happening, and to help usher it in, is Mz. Moséa her songs are about the seeking and spreading of love combined with melodious signature shifts and serious thought provoking vocals. She has all the hype de rigueur in live performance along with the coolness of shapely jazz ranges for more intimate appearances. Her voice carries a strong flow that is uniquely her own yet, comparable to the legendary great, Nina Simone.
Born and raised a Torontonian, Moséa refers to herself as a writer first, vocalist second, and without question she has the forte for both. Heavily influenced by the sounds of Philadelphia, and Motown, as well as her mother’s love of 1050 chum radio in Toronto, she knew her life would involve Music in some way.
She’s teamed up with jingle masters Fish-Fry for the theme for the “Mom Show”, and performed along side poet and hip-hop artist Motion for the Feature Film “When Moses Woke”, a documentary on the life of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad.
In addition to the myriad of songs she continues to write for herself, Moséa continues to work on collaborative projects with various people within the GTA. She’s recently teamed up with production team 3rd Party, of MI CASA RECORDS, co-wrote and featured on Hip-Hop Artist/Published Poet, Motion of Motion Live’s Up album, and, has performed with the “Ruling Stones”, a tribute band to the Rolling Stones. Most of her free time is shared between her son, Zachariah, school and working with children. She’s currently in the process of releasing her debut album.
Look out for the release of her 1st single ‘No Secret‘ available on Itunes 2012.
